Today I want to show you how to easily build a hinged hoop house for a raised bed garden so you can be eating fresh veggies all year long. To see more from this channel click HERE
I have a friend that has been building his homestead for a few years now. He has uploaded a few videos to show how his progress has been moving along. From the videos you can see that he has a saw mill setup and has been making lumber to use all around his homestead. Not only is he gardening, he is also raising chickens. Have a look at all the videos!

Now that the saw mill is up and running, we are starting to make great strides on building our homestead. Everything you see in the garden video was milled from it. VIDEO
Many have asked for updates on our homestead. Today we mounted the hoop house made from an old trampoline on two raised beds. This is a short walk through with enough complete to get an idea as to what it will look like. VIDEO
I promised step by step videos on the development of the homestead. Todays is the next step in that process. Next is cross members that will hold the plastic. Once the plastic is up we go back to the saw mill and cut the lumber for framing the front and rear walls. They will have windows in them. VIDEO
We’ve finished Phase II of the raised garden beds and greenhouse build. Next we need to construct the roof structure under the hoops. It’ll reinforce the hoops from the winds we we get, before we put on the plastic. In time the entire structure will be covered with glass. Additionally, I’ve included footage of the chicken coup and run. We’ll be adding to it as well to provide a home for our meat and/or meat/egg birds. Our plans include quail and pheasants.
Off grid living the common sense way.
